The Orgone Spiral
From Marx to Moses
After World War One Reich did an expedited medical degree wherein he came across Freudian psychology and immediately felt he had found his true path. A friendship developed with Freud in Vienna and Reich became a rising star of the early analytical movement. Reich created the first systematisation of analysis resulting in the foundation of much of the field. This was known as Character Analysis. This was his psychology period detailed above as the first step in the ‘orgone spiral’.
Reich’s interest in the reality of the libido energy, an energy Freud originally postulated as bio-chemical, led Reich to study electro-physiology (Reich always believed emotions were energetic rather than chemical). Reich showed, for the first time, that positive emotions/pleasure have an electrical flow outwards from core to periphery. Negative emotions/anxiety, move inwards from periphery to core. Both aspects can be clearly discerned as changes in dermal electrical charge.
Reich then began to examine microbiology. He doubted the, ‘every cell from a cell‘ mantra. His discovery of life processes at a very high microscopic level made him realise that there was a whole class of pre-cellular, tiny proto-organisms entirely missing from biology. These are the class of entity known today in orgonomy as the bions. These might be called nano-bacteria or cell wall deficient forms, or many other names in mainstream science (on the rare occasion they are actually acknowledged). What biology still doesn’t at all know however is that these tiny forms can be created in-vivo from the breakdown of cells, and even from inanimate matter. The latter process breaks the extreme taboo in biology of life from non-life. Do not look there! Abiogenesis is the ultimate sin! Even terrain theory only borders on the fuller knowledge of orgonomy (what is missing from terrain theory is that there are non-biological ‘exosomes’ - bions).
Reich’s microbiology led to the creation of the most advanced blood test known to the world, probably still true today (the Reich Blood Test or RBT). It uses live blood analysis, visual appearance and breakdown rates of cells to quantify energetic vitality versus precancerous breakdown. See my Bion Overview for more on bions and the RBT. This stage of Reich’s work also led to an understanding of the entire life-cycle of cancer, something I believe virtually no one else has done (in this detail): from life-energy undercharge or overcharge, cell shape changes, cell breakdown downwards into bions, reorganisation of those bions upwards into cancer cells and amoeba, gradual suffocation of organism, accompanying emotional resignation, partial dying, and death.
From microbiology Reich was thrust directly into physics. This was not by choice but by circumstance, and, as in all good discoveries, by chance. One of the bion samples, sand instead of soil, had a super-strong radiation field. It was through trying to isolate the sand bion radiation that led to the discovery of orgone energy. The first orgone accumulator boxes were enclosures to try and contain this energy.
Next came the application of the energy, which was found to be everywhere, to biological systems - the bio-medicine phase of orgonomy. Then in 1947 Reich returned to a focus on physics and within about one year had managed to find out how to create electrical work from the opposite energy of orgone. Orgone and electrical energies are natural antithetical but the pre-atomic orgone excites into charged particles. The physics period also led to the creation of oranur energy - radioactively excited orgone (or merely excited orgone, as even the mind can excite orgone fields I believe).
After this came a pathway into meteorology - the study of weather. This was necessitated by the oranur experiment. There had to be some way to remove the dark deadly orgone clouds (DOR) that hung over the laboratories after the oranur experiment. Thus, from combining the simple knowledge that orgone can be entrained in tubes and that it is attracted to water, the incredible cloudbuster was born. From this device came the spacegun (cloudbuster + oranur) and the DORBuster (a smaller medical cloudbuster).
Cosmology was naturally now entailed as Reich studied the movement of rivers of orgone in the cosmos. The spacegun was named as such, not as a weapon, but because Reich thought it could reach into space with its effects.
Lastly, Reich was led into what he called functional mathematics, where the evolutionary processes of orgone were examined and predicted, using symbolic representation.
During this journey as a whole Reich had gone from being a Darwinian/Freudian/Marxist materialist (1930s to 1940s) to an open-minded subtle energy physicist (1940s to 1950s) to finally having a more spiritual worldview (about 1951 onwards). The consequences of this latter change were never fully elucidated by him. In his prison letters he did accept monotheism as correct and spent much time reading the Bible. Unfortunately, Reich didn’t read the Old Testament (OT), at least not in latter life as far as I know. He would’ve been amazed had he done so in my view.
Here is a list of orgone devices in the OT:
The Ark of the Covenant (a metal and wood layered box) : An obvious Orgone Accumulator.
Shamir (radioactive material): obliquely mentioned in the Bible (the priests went in to the Holy of Holies and immediately the ‘smoke’ arose from the Ark and covered everything). The shamir is known about directly in Jewish texts however. It is a substance put in the Ark to activate it. Almost certainly radioactive, An oranur reaction. See Talking With God by Isaacs (radioactive) or The Legendary Shamir by Maglione (oranur).
The Ephod (an orgone blanket): a layered fabric and metal chest plate with studded jewels for communing at a distance with the Ark.
Orgone Fire: non-burning, cold, non-destructive ‘fire’ (orgone can be visualised as a crystalline type of cold fire, see particularly Reichenbach who also discovered orgone and called it Od): examples are Moses’ burning bush, Ezekial’s celestial fires.
Living Orgone Blankets (Elija and Elisa prophets): both prophets used their own bodies, particularly the high charge eyes for healing and bringing people back from the dead according to the OT. Their own bodies were used as an orgone blanket by placing atop the person to be healed in maximum contact.
Orgone Powered Vehicles (Ezekial’s wheels): Reich thought the characteristics of UFOs indicated they ran on orgone.
The Holy of Holies (an orgone dark room made of gold): used to house the Ark.
The Tent Covering (a metal and fabric covering for the Ark when it was being moved): an orgone blanket/orgone room.
The New Testament refers to orgone perhaps as the Living Water of Christ and the somewhat ‘material’ Spirit. In the Biblical view, both testaments, spirit is physical. It is a real thing, it isn’t imaginary or non-physical. Besides, physical just means you can sense something and it has reality. There is no objective reality outside of consciousness.
But to return to the orgone spiral, my own work utilises a basic but creative maths, some basic oranur or orgone physics, and dream and personal psychology to examine consciousness. In a sense my work has gone full circle right back to the beginning of orgonomy in psychology. Following this motion the next stage might involve microbiology, bio-medicine and cosmology perhaps or some other combination of the first iteration of orgonomy.
Below is the spiral again with the main inventions added. Also, orgonomy has always had a sociological side, right from the beginning. This is illustrated with the main steps he took as the sociological arrow next to the spiral. The sociological journey is one from Marx to Moses one might say.
Its been a busy month with one thing and another. I’ve finally finished the practical side of the first oranur-consciousness experiment (probably) so will be writing that up over Christmas and New year hopefully. I am also aiming to get my posts back on the beginning of the month, probably starting with my traditional New Year orgone predictive numbers. Perhaps also I shall make a start posting, ‘My Orgone Story’ - a short biographical account of my journey in orgonomy from childhood to now,, about 50 years.
I also read the last in the Monroe series of books, very interesting. I’d forgotten to mention how Monroe Institute’s sleep pods could themselves be ORACs (or small oranur generators) even if they are just wood and some electrics. I will look into that at some point.
Likely be posting again soon, on New Years Day touch wood, hope we all have a good 2026, its going to be a ride I’m sure.

I always love reading your work. It's fascinating.
In the spiral, what does Human Deserts refer to?
Thank you for your work.
